ETRI SDV standardization announcement and subsequent ITU-T approval

Overview

ETRI’s 6 August 2026 release reports progress on gateway-based SDV service requirements and a separate SDV overview technical paper. Subsequent ITU-T records distinguish consent for Recommendation F.749.22 on 17 July from final approval on 29 August; the separate FSTP-SDV technical paper was agreed on 17 July. The recommendation concerns vehicle applications, service management such as OTA, and connectivity requirements, while the technical paper surveys SDV concepts, technologies and standardization.
