The first article in ATIC’s 2021 series introduces UN R79 ACSF classes A, B1, B2, C, D and E alongside CSF and ESF. It relates the classifications to parking, lane keeping and lane changing, and discusses driver override, HMI and basic behavior before the second article’s test conditions.
