NHTSA’s 2018 framework for ADS testable cases and scenarios

A Framework for Automated Driving System Testable Cases and Scenarios

Overview

This 2018 final research report develops a preliminary ADS testing framework combining tactical maneuvers, ODD elements, object/event detection and response, and failure behavior. It links that scenario matrix to simulation, track and road testing, while identifying limitations in comprehensive coverage and the need for further test development.

Author-supplied source information

Author-supplied information on arXiv.

Distinct attachment/reference work, not a WEF report. The current NHTSA-host PDF has an unrelated medical-study suggested-APA paragraph, while its title/authors documentation page agrees with the corrected ROSAP copy. Authorship follows the documentation page and ROSAP, not the erroneous suggested citation. No full test-coverage, certification or deployment result claimed.
